Creating Healthy Habits for a Long Life
During the summer months most of the healthy habits that we have created start to fade away. Summer vacation often brings lifestyle changes that are usually detrimental to our health. After about two weeks of "giving into temptation" our good habits are transformed to bad ones. However, there is a way to have a fun and fancy-free vacation while keeping those healthy habits in check.Studies have shown that people are more willing to adopt a new routine when they are on holiday. That means your summer vacation may be the perfect time to start a new diet or exercise plan.
The trick is to turn old habits into new healthy habits for a long life. Do not try to stop eating sweets are drinking alcohol together. Try substituting few old habits at a time, making subtle adjustments.
Keep up this behavior for about 21 days. Psychologist have found that by day 22, said behavior is now a part of your "normal" routine.
