Healthy Lives for Working Girls
The Girl Scouts have noticed something about American children these days. They are overweight and less active. They are eating more junk food and spending less time outdoors. The Girl Scouts is trying to change this new phenomenon. Since its founding, the Girl Scouts have tried to provide programs that promote self-confidence and skills for a happy life. Now they are incorporating self-confidence through good health, hoping that Girl Scouts all over the country will learn how to make good decions about their health. Girl Sports Basics A program that boosts girls' interest and participation in sports for ages 5-8.
Girl Scouts Strong Bones, Strong Girls A program that educates and encourages girls to establish lifelong healthy habits, particularly increased calcium consumption and physical activity for girls ages 9-12.
STUDIO 2B A new program designed by girls, for girls, and of course, about girls! Special focus books provide rich material that addresses self-esteem and personal growth for ages 11-17.
Try-Its and Badges A variety of Girl Scout Try-Its and Badges introduces girls to the basics of health and well being an early age.
