Camp Fosters Healthy Lives for Working Girls

The YWCA camp for girls recently opened June 27th. The camp targets girls, ages twelve to fourteen. Camp lasts for a few weeks and begins around 8am, lasting until noon. While at the camp, girls have the opportunity to develop healthy lives for working girls. In addition, they have crafts, games, field trips, and discussions about self esteem. Hopefully, camp participants will leave the camp with higher self esteem and good eating/life patterns that will last for years to come. The camp features the Girls on the Run curriculum that is targeted to girls of this age group. The cost to attend camp is $50 for YWCA members and $60 for non-members.
